The Newport Bass is designed for Menken Maritiem to cater for the demand for a weekend boat. Already 25 boats have been sold. The first owners now have a sloop and want to stay longer on board. Unique about this design is the u-shaped bench in the cockpit and the open layout of the saloon.
INTERIOR
Two interior versions have been developed. One owner version and one version with pilot bunks in the aft part of the saloon. Both versions have been sold from drawing. This shows that it was a good idea to design both.
NOISE & VIBRATIONS
In this yacht the most elaborate noise & vibrations prevention methods will be used. The engine will be placed in a separate box. The shaft system will be equipped with a double superelastic coupling and a thrust bearing. The exhaust system will be equipped with a separator.
